…And in 2014, we hit seven figures (£1m+) in annual sales for the first time ever!
Looking back, the business was a completely different animal to what I’d started from my dining room table, just a few years earlier.
And, as I reflected on my journey, I began to realise just how different these three phases of business really were.
In Phase One, it’s all about raising your profile, winning your first ‘one-on-one’ clients, and keeping costs as low as possible so you can pay the bills and still have a bit of money left over.
At Phase Two, it’s about switching from a ‘one-to-one’ to a ‘one-to-many’ model, and growing your personal brand via various marketing channels.
And at Phase Three, it’s about scaling your sales, marketing, and delivery functions by building a world-class team of people, so the success of the business is no longer solely reliant on you – the business owner.
By the end of 2016, many of our Six Figure Mastermind members were comfortably generating £100k-£500k a year in revenue.
But we still had many ‘Phase 1′ coaches, consultants, and Experts joining the programme. So I started to feel a little uneasy about the ‘gap’ between some of our members.
You know what I mean.
We had six figure business owners in a Mastermind, sat next to relative newbies.
It just didn’t make sense.
On top of that, some of our more successful members were starting to leave and search for a peer group who were playing a bigger game.
I don’t blame them.
I mean, who wants to be the smartest person in the room, right?
